About.
A world-leading community of businesses, inspiring and preserving the past, present and future of automotive and aviation technology.
A sustainable mobility future is the key to unlocking future human progress and it imagines a world where we can all move without impact - at a time when mobility will make or break our planet.
Bicester Motion is for like-minded mobility leaders, manufacturers, innovators and change-makers who have a shared passion to deliver the mobility solutions we need and require a place to anticipate their needs, inspire their people and elevate their performance.
The evocative estate is unlike other soulless business parks because it delivers a vibrant and dedicated centre of excellence, where mobility businesses can thrive, and it will not stop until it has built the world's leading mobility community.

Bicester Motion is inaugurated
444
acres of national historic importance
Before Bicester Motion
Bicester Motion's story began in 2013 with the purchase of the former WW2 RAF Bicester Bomber Training Station, a 444-acre site of national historic importance. Neglected for the best part of 40 years, it was added to Historic England's 'At Risk Register' in 2008 and designated the most 'at risk' of all Defence Estates in the UK.
Under Bicester Motion's custodianship, 99% of the buildings have been delicately restored or re-activated for modern business use, with the site now held as a national exemplar of constructive conservation by Historic England. The time-warp base is unmatched in its evocative character, with even the paint colours being correct to 1930s British Standards.
Bicester Heritage
Bicester Motion truly took flight with the curation of a unique ecosystem of historic automotive specialist businesses based within the RAF’s former ‘Technical Site’. Quickly known as Bicester Heritage, it swiftly grew to act as a marina-like cluster, introducing passionate audiences to special events such as the Scramble open day, as well as creating career opportunities, encouraging skilled training and knowledge transfer.
The Command Works
High demand for commercial premises led to the creation of The Command Works, eight award-winning contemporary buildings constructed on the southern edge of The Technical Site.
Built sympathetically and in-keeping with their Grade II-listed surroundings, the purpose-built HQ buildings were the first new structures to be constructed at the site in 84 years. They now house the governing body of UK motor sport, a pioneering synthetic fuel manufacturer, the foremost international rally operator and many other leading firms.
The future
Development of Bicester Motion continues afoot, with The Ranges welcoming YASA.
The Mercedes-Benz subsidiary moves its headquarters to Bicester Motion in 2026 among the five new buildings adjacent to the airfield.
The Rushes will give brands the chance to offer first-hand experiences to potential buyers and the Reserve will be a retreat nestled in the vibrant campus open to all.
