We acquired the former RAF base in 2013 and since then have invested more than £25 million in providing a place for ambitious companies involved in all streams of mobility technology. Through a 20-strong team of real estate and motorsport enthusiasts, we are delivering an ambitious one million sq ft masterplan to create a vibrant destination that celebrates innovation, community and experience of mobility within the automotive and aviation sectors.

DAN PROVIDES BICESTER HERITAGE WITH STRATEGIC DIRECTION AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE. HE HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS CONCEPTION, VISION AND FOUNDATION AS WELL AS THE ACQUISITION OF THE RAF BICESTER SITE IN 2013.

A passionate vintage car enthusiast, he has a keen interest in the preservation and promotion of the UK’s automotive heritage and has overseen Bicester Heritage since its inception.

Dan has a 20+ year background in international business foundation and, for the last 15 years, property investment. He was founder of Argo St George, a corporate finance adviser, was a founder and board member of Heracles LLP (a UK property partnership) and sits on the boards of Historit Ltd and StarterMotor, a charity providing access to classic cars to students.

SARAH-JANE CURTIS JOINS BICESTER MOTION FROM VALUE RETAIL, WHERE SHE WAS BUSINESS DIRECTOR AT BICESTER VILLAGE, LEADING ON BUSINESS STRATEGY AND DELIVERY OF SALES AND ASSET PERFORMANCE.

Before joining Value Retail in 2016, Sarah-Jane was a Director of Covent Garden for Capco, where she was instrumental in the reinvention of that famous, vibrant and historic location.

Sarah-Jane has spent the majority of her career with Grosvenor, where she gained significant experience both on the London Estate as Retail and Residential Director, in the shopping centre portfolio and latterly as Fund Manager for Liverpool One.

Sarah-Jane has recently been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of TR Property Real Estate Trust PLC and remains a part time consultant to Value Retail.

JOHN JOINED THE TEAM IN 2021 TO LEAD THE BUSINESS’ FINANCIAL PLANNING AND REPORTING AHEAD OF ITS NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH.

John is a former investment banker and private equity professional who began his career at Rothschild before moving to Credit Suisse. Immediately Prior to Bicester Motion, John was CFO and then CEO of Inspiring Learning, a £100m private-equity backed business which was the UK’s second largest provider of out of classroom learning experiences for children and young people in the UK.

MICHAEL TRAINED AS A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT. FROM 1986 HE WORKED FOR CAZENOVE AND CO, BECOMING A PARTNER IN 1990.

In 2001 when Cazenove incorporated he became Finance Director and held the same position in JPMorgan Cazenove, the joint venture with JPMorgan. He remains a non-executive director of Cazenove Capital Holdings. He is a trustee of the Chichester Cathedral Millennium Fund and is Honorary Treasurer of The Wildlife Trusts.

Michael’s love of machinery is now concentrated on cars from the 1920′s. He drove his Vauxhall 30-98 from Peking to Paris in 2007 and his Sunbeam to Istanbul and back in 2011. He competes regularly in Vintage Sports Car Club trials.

BOB MEIJER HAS BEEN AN INTERNATIONAL HISTORIC-PROPERTY DEVELOPER AND INVESTOR FOR OVER 30 YEARS, WITH A SPECIALIST SKILL IN TAKING HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND IDENTIFYING MODERN-DAY FUNCTIONALITY AND VIABILITY. HE WAS A FOUNDER INVESTOR IN THE REGENERATION OF THE HISTORIC THERMAL SPA IN BATH (THERMAE BATH SPA).

Bob was the co-founder of Venture Capital Investors B.V. (“VCI”) in 1980, based in the Netherlands, as one of the very first Venture Capital firms in the country, as well as Cocon Vastgoed Management, in 1985, a specialist in converting historic buildings to make them fit for contemporary use, such as hospitals, schools and industrial complexes.

Bob is an active traveller in historic motor-cars and has recently completed a trip to Istanbul in a 1930 Bugatti in which he has already driven around the world. His latest project is the creation of a private club for motoring enthusiasts, based at a freshly restored 14th century chateau in the Dordogne, now known as Club des Autos.

LIZ JOINS THE BICESTER MOTION TEAM FROM CENTER PARCS, WHERE SHE WAS CORPORATE EVENTS COMMERCIAL MANAGER, DEVELOPING THE CORPORATE EVENTS SALES AND DELIVERY OFFERING AND STRATEGY.

Previous to Center Parcs, Liz was the Event Organiser for Silverstone Circuit for seven years, planning and delivering all aspects of large scale Motorsport public events such as Formula 1, MotoGP, World Superbikes etc long with other events such as the Mini United festival.

With over 15 years event experience for outdoor events and conferencing, Liz started her career running local authority festivals and events such as Carnivals, Diwali, Bonfire nights, etc learning and developing skills for cultural events planning.

PHILIP JOINED THE ORIGINAL BICESTER HERITAGE TEAM IN 2014, TAKING ON THE COMMERCIAL LETTINGS, BRAND DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING FOR THE BURGEONING BUSINESS ESTATE.

He has since helped grow the Bicester Heritage Technical Site from a handful of key motoring specialists to a home for more than fifty industry leading businesses and now manages brand development and marketing for the Bicester Motion Group.

With a background in sales and marketing in the historic motoring industry and a passion for historic architecture, Philip grew up with petrol in his blood and has a strong family heritage in aviation and motoring. He competes regularly, enjoying various vintage endurance rallies although his favourite is that early November special, the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, on which he drives a 1903 Panhard-Levassor.

JONTY IS AN EXPERIENCED CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONAL WHO SPECIALISES IN MASTERPLANNING AND MAJOR PROJECT DELIVERY.

He has a wide range of experience in delivering developments including museums, luxury hotels, motorsport circuits and driver experience centres, automotive manufacturing and showroom facilities.

Previous projects include: Zhejiang International Circuit – China, Royal Air Force Museum – London, BMW Park Lane, Media City UK – Salford, BMW UK headquarters and various Jaguar Land Rover development projects.

He grew up restoring classic cars at home with his father and brothers gaining experience in the family construction and car dealership businesses. He was introduced attending one of the original Bicester Heritage’s classic car maintenance courses.

CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE, ALICIA STARTED HER CAREER AT CHRISTIE’S AUCTION HOUSE WORKING AS A SALES COORDINATOR FOR THE WORLD ART CLUSTER. HER TIME AT THIS INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED AUCTION HOUSE ALLOWED HER TO GAIN EXPERIENCE IN ORGANISING AUCTIONS AND LARGE SCALE EVENTS.

Prior to joining Bicester Heritage, Alicia worked with the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust in Oxford, before becoming a founding team member of Club des Autos in France. Club des Autos has since grown to become an exclusive private members club for historic motoring enthusiasts based in a restored 14th Century Chateau in the Dordogne.

With an interest in historic cars, Alicia regularly competes and takes part in motoring events, the latest one being the London to Brighton Run in 2019

SHARON JOINED THE TEAM IN 2019, ALTHOUGH HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE BUSINESS AS THE EXTERNAL BOOKKEEPER SINCE 2013.

Her background had previously been in accountancy practices as an accounts manager and was responsible for looking after a variety of client including sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies through the whole process of preparing annual accounts, quarterly VAT Returns and the associated personal and corporation tax returns.

She is responsible for the day to day processing of the accounts system and would be your point of contact with any accounting issues.

BRIAN HAS WORKED IN MOTORSPORT FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND HAS A WEALTH OF ON-TRACK EXPERIENCE AS A CLASSIC SALOON CAR COMPETITOR.

He spent 16 years at Silverstone Circuit becoming Operations Director before leaving to be a part of the Operational start-up team for the Dubai Autodrome U.A.E., returning on its completion to take up the role of Managing Director at Donington Park.

Brian has acted as a consultant to the RAC Motor Sports Association on the inspection of safety works at various Motor Sport venues around the country. He has a particular love of the more modern classic car, owning a Ford Capri and several Minis.

A KEEN ARTIST, ADAM ALSO GOES BY THE NAME OF THE SCRIBBLING VICAR, AND HAD SHOWN WORK HERE AT BICESTER IN THE PAST. HE WAS ALSO VERY FORTUNATE TO BE PART OF THE BLUE DIAMOND RILEY SERVICES TEAM FOR THE 2018 MONTE CARLO CLASSIQUE RALLY DRIVING THE FIRM’S 1949 MG TC.

His automotive passion features Aston Martins and Alfa Romeos amongst other marques, although his own 1962 Rover P4 ‘Wilbur’ is his firm favourite.

Adam Gompertz has been site chaplain since the start of this year and is also a Pioneer Minister in the diocese of Lichfield. His role is one of providing pastoral support for both the team and specialists. Bicester has been a special place for Adam, he has been coming to the Scramble events since 2015.

He knows the Technical Site like the back of his hand and is always ready to support the Bicester Motion Team and Specialists through the working week and at Scrambles. Without his diligent work behind the scenes, our beautiful base would grind to a halt!

When he’s not setting the fastest lap time in the Gator, he’s found in his 1949 Series 1 Land Rover and is a keen WW2 military vehicle enthusiast and owner, his latest restoration project being a 1945 Ford GPW.

Working in the marketing team, Jack's focus is on creating content for the Scramblers membership to read, watch and listen to from around the Heritage Quarter and wider Bicester Motion site.

NEIL JOINED BICESTER MOTION IN 2016, MANAGING HISTORIT, THEN IN 2018 AS OUR CONCIERGE. HE IS OUR FIRST POINT OF CONTACT WITH VISITORS, FROM HIS BASE IN THE SENTRY BOX, AT GATE ONE TO BICESTER MOTION.

For many years Neil was senior partner in his own firm of estate agents, valuers, surveyors and auctioneers with three offices in South Bucks.

In the early Nineties he re-trained and for nearly thirty years worked as a psychotherapist and counselling practitioner. He first looked after young people in care, later maintaining his own private practice and also lecturing in counselling skills and theory.

Latterly Neil worked with three employee assistance programme providers as a clinical case consultant and account manager. With a specific remit regarding trauma, Neil’s interaction was with police, fire and ambulance services, air and rail companies and the general public. He also had responsibility for banking and pharma contracts, world-wide.
