The famous red and gold of Alan Mann Racing is back, and Scramblers will see it first thanks to a global debut of the Ford Escort Alan Mann 68 Edition by Boreham Motorworks at The Road Rat’s Parachute Store.
Just 24 of the fully licensed Fords will be built, each with an authentic continuation chassis number, honouring the British Saloon Car Championship titles of 1968 and ’69. It forms part of the Ultra Series, following the previously announced Collector Series featuring RS200 and Mk1 RS.
The Ford Escort Alan Mann 68 Edition by Boreham Motorworks has been created after disassembling and scanning the iconic Frank Gardner-raced XOO 349F, with modern safety and tolerances factored into the new cars. Even the suspension geometry has been matched to the period specification.
The spectacular machine will be on display with more red-and-gold icons at The Road Rat during the sold-out Scramble.
