Less than three weeks after going on general sale, the second Scramble open day event of 2024 has sold out three months in advance of the gates opening. Bicester Heritage will welcome a capacity crowd of around 8000 on national Drive-it Day weekend, Sunday 21 April, continuing an unbroken run of sell-out events for the best part of 10 years. The open day events at the UK’s home of historic motoring have become widely acclaimed for their relaxed atmosphere, eclectic mix of vehicles from all eras and access-all-areas setup.

The following Scramble will take place in the autumn on Sunday 6 October, with tickets going on general sale on Monday 22 April. Members of Bicester Heritage’s club, Scramblers, can purchase tickets a week earlier via member exclusive presale, to ensure tickets are firmly secured.

The forthcoming Scramble will celebrate the many varied roles that StarterMotor Ambassadors have played at some of the UK’s classic-car specialists. Based at Bicester Heritage, motoring charity StarterMotor is focused entirely on inspiring the next generation of historic vehicle drivers by putting young enthusiasts behind the wheel of classic and vintage cars. The central lawn will feature cars worked on by the apprentices and graduates who volunteer for the charity, from Ferraris and Bugattis to Austin Sevens.

Liz Pilling, Associate Director of Events at Bicester Heritage, said: “We’re thrilled to have such a swift uptake in tickets for the April Scramble. It shows how valued the events are by families and enthusiasts, and how keen people are to visit our special community at Bicester Heritage.

“We are committed to ensuring that visitors get a true value-for-money experience, and we look forward to welcoming everyone in April.”
