Austin Pedal Cars will open the doors to its new Bicester Heritage showroom at the Scramble on Sunday 23 April, creating what the forthcoming Continuation Car will call its home.

The sold-out event will be the soft launch for the new HQ, which is now based at Building 129 in the Motor Transport Yard between Legends and Auto Wax Works, and will offer a glimpse of what’s to come in the following weeks and months.

Austin Pedal Cars will showcase a variety of examples of the famous J40 pedal car in the MT Yard, as well as offering parts and car sales – all of which will be eligible for the Settrington Cup at the Goodwood Revival.

“We are delighted to present Austin in such a prime enthusiast location right at the heart of Bicester Heritage,” said Mark Burnett, managing director of Austin Pedal Cars.

“This will be much more than a showroom; with fun and educational displays and historically important Austin pedal cars, it will be a real treat for classic car enthusiasts and families alike.

“Later this year, we will proudly launch our new Austin J40 Continuation Car, a stunning creation that will only be available at Bicester Heritage.”

The Continuation car will feature a handcrafted all-aluminium body faithful to the original and improved mechanicals, and is due to launch later in 2023.

A book telling the definitive story of the J40 will be released soon along with a brand new website, featuring everything from information about J40s to merchandise and parts lines.

Head to Building 129 in the MT Yard on Sunday to find out more.
