Bicester Motion has appointed Savills as its joint commercial leasing agency to work with incumbent Adalta Real.
Savills Oxford will provide in-depth knowledge of advanced manufacturing and technology companies looking to relocate and grow in the heart of Motorsport Valley, while Savills’ national Automotive and Science teams will provide support across the automotive and future mobility sectors.
Savills’ appointment is part of Bicester Motion’s continued strategy to invest in the estate and deliver new HQ buildings to boost pioneering future-mobility discovery and attract new companies to its thriving advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
The shared focus will be on phase two of The Ranges, four new prestigious HQ buildings specifically for future mobility design, light manufacturing, research and development and will total 124,000 sq ft (11,520 sq m).
Phase one has recently completed, and the first building has been handed over to YASA. The University of Oxford spin-out is wholly owned by the Mercedes-Benz Group and at the forefront of pioneering electric drive technology. Fit out of its 90,000 sq ft (8,361 sq m) bespoke building will begin soon.
YASA joins the 50-strong business community that includes Sauber Motorsport, Polestar’s UK HQ, Motorsport UK, Skyports Infrastructure, and record-breaking synthetic fuel manufacturer Zero, among many other brands.
Daniel Geoghegan, chief executive officer, Bicester Motion said: “The appointment of Savills Oxford and Savills Automotive underscores our ambitious growth strategy and commitment to our continued investment in our distinctive and pioneering future mobility community.
