Ed will bring with him a wealth of experience built over 16 years at JLL, where he most recently held the role of national director, strategic asset management.

A chartered surveyor, Ed has advised on and led complex property and portfolio strategies across a wide range of sectors.

In his new role, Ed will work closely with Jonty Ashworth, development director at Bicester Motion, with the pair jointly driving the real estate element of the estate. Both will report to Daniel Geoghegan, chief executive officer.

Bicester Motion was established in 2013 following the acquisition of the former RAF Bicester Bomber Training Station. YASA, the world’s leading developer of axial flux electric motor technology and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes Benz, is currently undertaking its fit-out of its new bespoke 90,000 sq ft (8,361 sq m) HQ at The Ranges which has uninterrupted views and direct access to the airfield, test track, and expansive green spaces. More than 400 people across innovation, engineering, prototyping, operations, and business support functions will relocate later this year.

Daniel Geoghegan, chief executive officer, Bicester Motion said: "Ed’s depth of experience in strategic asset management and his understanding of how property can enable long-term business growth make him an outstanding addition to our leadership team. Working alongside Jonty, he will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the next phase of Bicester Motion’s evolution. As we continue to support our current specialists and welcome new companies, Ed’s role will be pivotal. We warmly welcome him to the team."

Ed Parker added: "Bicester Motion is a truly unique estate with a clear vision for the future. I’m excited to join the team and to help unlock the full potential of its property assets in support of the wider business for the benefit of those companies working here."
