Scramble online auction partner Bring a Trailer is stepping it up a gear and taking over Hangar 113 on Sunday 4 October.
Having first been found in the MT Yard with Sports Purpose in April, launching itself into the UK market, the world’s leading online collector car auction platform will pack out the historic hangar with a suitably varied display.
In a nod to the transatlantic nature of the partnership, leading it will be a celebration of the rarest cars of all: the central-seater.
By stepping away from the left- and right-hand-drive divide that traditionally separates the American and British markets, the display will celebrate the common ground BaT has found among automotive enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic.
Elsewhere in Hangar 113, expect cars that will be heading under the hammer and some of the recent success stories BaT has delivered for UK sellers and buyers.
Members of BaT’s senior team will be in the UK for the event, too, immersing themselves with enthusiasts and members of the BaT community.
The US team will be joined by BaT’s UK Local Partners, the Bicester Motion-based Sports Purpose, as well as Chase Classics, with BaT staff on hand to meet UK enthusiasts and talk through how the platform works.
“We’re excited to be returning to the Bicester Scramble this October, and to be hosting our own display in the iconic Hangar 113," Randy Nonnenberg, Co-Founder and Chairman of BaT, said. "Bicester Motion has quickly become a natural home for BaT in the UK, and taking the centrepiece spot in the main hangar marks an exciting next step in our partnership with the team here.
“The response from British enthusiasts since our launch in March has been hugely encouraging, and the Scramble is exactly the kind of event where that community comes to life. We can’t wait to be back, to meet more of the BaT community in person, and to keep building on our growth in the UK market.”
Daniel Geoghegan, CEO and founder of Bicester Motion added "as a statement of intent, command of Hangar 113 leaves no doubt about Bring a Trailer’s passion, commitment and partnership. We can’t wait to see what BaT brings for October and beyond.”
