Some of the stunning consignments into the Global Icons: UK Online auction by Broad Arrow will take centre stage at the Scramble, inside the specialist’s beautiful showroom on Sunday 11 January.
Britain’s first 100mph production car is among them, a Vauxhall 30-98 OE-Type Velox from 1924. Chassis OE118 has a superb documented history and has been meticulously cared for by its owner. The sports car is expected to fetch £175,000 to £225,000 during the online sale from 23-30 January.
Also on display in the MT Yard showroom will be a remarkable 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta that was owned by the Chilton family of racers. Blu Le Mans over Blu Scuro leather, the car was delivered new from the famous Maranello Concessionaires and covered just 11,000 miles since.
A brace of Ford Capris will also be represented, one a 1976 2600 GT that has been driven by some the best historic racers across Europe, including at the Le Mans Classic, and a later 3.0 S with Goodwood racing provenance.
It will be joined by another ex-Goodwood machine in the shape of an Ecurie Ecosse-liveried early Austin Cooper S, while an LMP3 contested with Nielsen Racing and won the LMP3 Cup with Ecurie Ecosse.
Broad Arrow clients can make the most of a complimentary coffee from Nebulous among the display and curated automobilia – visit the Broad Arrow showroom in Building 131.
