Chris Harris and Friends, Bicester Motion and Car and Classic will come together to celebrate one of Britain’s most storied manufacturers on Saturday 23 May.
The Great British Jaguar Day will transform the home of historic motoring, including the mighty Hangar 113, Paddock and Airfield, into a little corner of Coventry, as the century-old marque and its most famous personalities, engineers and racers take centre stage alongside the Chris Harris and Friends podcast team.
Former Top Gear host Harris leads the weekly car-focused chat, joined by racer Chris Cooper, film director Manish Pandey and car collector Neil Clifford, covering everything automotive in their inimitable style. It’s one of the top-three leisure podcasts in the UK.
Bicester Motion, Car and Classic and the team will bring that to life like never before to kick start the summer, just a month after the sold-out Scramble. Imagine a relaxed English summer garden party blended with the charm of a boutique motoring festival. This is our love letter to Jaguar.
A concours-like podium will host interviews, guests, cars and more, while two live podcasts will be recorded during the day. Smaller ‘fireside chats’ with owners and famous names from the brand will pack out the day, too.
Cars from road and track will stretch through Jaguar’s history, from the earliest to the most beautiful car in the world according to Enzo Ferrari, onto the GTs of the 1970s and ‘80s, and the modern day. Expect the much-discussed future of the manufacturer to be presented and dissected, along with the best of the UK’s car culture.
Dedicated displays will be reserved for Jags on the day, bolstering the curated displays. Some owners will take home awards, from the ‘Best Dressed’ to ‘Most Jaguar’ and more.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Chris Harris and Friends team to Bicester Motion in May," said Bicester Motion brand and marketing director Philip White. "Our shared passion for cars and eclectic automotive culture makes this event partnership the perfect match. We believe our beautiful base is the place to truly celebrate the past, present and future of this famous British marque and we can’t wait to see the breadth of big cats on display.”
Tickets to the festival of finest motoring on Saturday 23 May are on sale now, costing £32.50 for adults (excluding fees).
