Fuzz Townshend Classic Oils, based at The Lubricant Store at Bicester Heritage, officially has a new name: Motor Spirit.
Only the name has been changed – it simply encompasses the breadth of its expertise.
The familiar Gulf colours have been regularly brightening up the shop because it is the place to buy Gulf Race Fuels – not only for classic race cars.
‘We still stock all the products we did before, and we still offer the same advice and expertise, all from our HQ – the Lubricants Store at Bicester Heritage,’ the team says.
‘Our rebrand stemmed from our need to more accurately reflect the business we do.
‘While we still supply lubricants and additives for vintage and classic cars, we have more and more people racing our Gulf race fuels. So we thought a change was necessary to better encapsulate our new customers.
‘The term motor spirit is an antiquated term for petrol and was used in the UK up until the 1930s. But we also want a name that reflects a community – all of us sharing in this Motoring Spirit.’
