The configurator for the hotly anticipated Lotus Esprit restomod by Encor has been created and launched by TwentySeven Works, the all-encompassing agency based out of the Western Tanker Sheds on Western Avenue.

The Encor Series 1 is a spectacular reimagining of the earliest Esprit, one of Britain’s first and most famous entries into the book of wedge car design.

The original's fibreglass body and steel chassis have been replaced by an all-carbon monocoque, shaped to match exactly Giorgetto Giugiaro sharply drawn lines. But powering the Encor Series 1 is a Type 918 3.5-litre twin turbo V8, as found in the later Esprits and the basis of the GT1 racer’s engine, rebuilt and retuned for 400bhp. The S1 Esprit arrived with a 2.0-litre twin-cam of a now-meagre 160bhp.

The configurator by TwentySeven Works has been released in tandem with the car’s official reveal – try it for size at encor.design/configure
