Following its Italian-flavoured display at the Scramble on Sunday 26 April, homegrown machinery led the way in Broad Arrow’s Villa d’Este auction on the banks of Lake Como on 16-17 May.
The official auction of BMW’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este was held at Villa Erba and was filled with 75 stunning supercars and classics. A 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3, one of 600 produced, fetched €6,250,000 to lead the sale, while a 1990 Ferrari F40 beat its upper estimate at €2,931,250. Another Ferrari to outperform was the Dino 246 GT at €400,000.
Yet curios more than held their own: one of the most surprising success stories of the sale was the ultra-rare Fiat Bertone 850 T Visitors Bus from 1977. The one-of-six prototype more than doubled its lower estimate to €189,750. The spectacular 1963 Fiat 600 Torpedo Marina by Vignale escaped its upper estimate of €250,000 to €281,750.
Elsewhere, a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupé sold well at €1,637,500, likewise a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package that achieved €2,256,250.
Of sponsor BMW, an M3 GTS was well priced to sell for €189,750 and a 503 hit €109,250.
In all, €40.8 million changed hands with 87% of lots selling. View the full result.
Next up in-person for Broad Arrow is The Quail, one of the stand-out sales of Monterey Car Week. The event in California takes place on 13-14 August 2026.
