This time next week tickets to Flywheel will be out in the wild, and it is not hard to see why this has got people bristling with excitement.
Flywheel started as far back as 2015, when Bicester Heritage was barely two years old. A remarkable feat in itself, looking back.
The site, and Scrambles, have come a long way since then, so the pressure is on for 17-18 June. Not least because it’s also the 10-year anniversary bash for Bicester Heritage.
In years gone by, as the gallery below shows, Flywheel welcomed the fine classic cars to its track – some in their element, some less so…
The Airfield, the reason Bicester Heritage can exist at all here, returned some vintage warbirds to its grassy runway, while the pilots and planes who have kept the heart of the airfield beating ever since RAF Bicester closed dropped in to great fanfare.
