There is one question that dominates the inbox after each Scramble: how do I get to park on the Technical Site at the Scramble?
The answer is two-fold: be a Pegasus member of Scramblers and enter the ballot.
Usually entries are well over subscribed, so we run a ballot and send out the display stickers to those lucky 150 or so owners.
We ask for the car because the variety in the Scramblers membership is such that sometimes a gem or two come in that fill a hole in a curated display we haven’t managed to fill.
The Scramble has grown to such a size these days that the old rock-up, park-up idea no longer fits. There are simply too many people on site, for too long, to have that sort of car movement now.
Plus we save certain areas for our curated displays not solely on the main lawn by Building 123, while trying to retain the same, well, 'Scramble' feel. Take that how you wish – everyone's idea of the Scramble is different.
