Bicester Motion-based charity StarterMotor has partnered with Jaguar Land Rover Classic for a dedicated Scramble display on the Main Drive to celebrate the next generation and mark half a century of the Jaguar XJ-S.

Five very different examples honouring the model will join StarterMotor, including the V12 Daimler design study that was an exploratory project by Jim Randle and Geoff Lawson.

The XJ-S police car and Ferguson four-wheel-drive development project will join from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, along with a late XJR-S and an early V12 owned by Jaguar Classic. The latter pair has been maintained by Jaguar Land Rover Classic apprentices, highlighting that StarterMotor has a keen ally in JLR.

The British manufacturer recently launched the JLR Foundation aimed at empowering children, adding £2.5m to the cause, and has engaged 100,000 via the STEM Ambassador programme in the UK alone.

Meanwhile in 2024, JLR grew its apprenticeships programme to 350 vacancies, adding 50 new spaces. Find StarterMotor on the Main Drive to get involved.
