The restomod market shows no sign of letting up and the Scramble on Sunday 23 April will be one of the best chances to get up close to one of the very latest – and it isn’t a Porsche.
Netherlands-based Maturo Competition Cars has set about upgrading a hero of Group A rallying, the Lancia Delta Integrale.
Its Stradale version will be on display between Harry Fraser Upholstery and Motor Spirit, by the exit of the Blenheim Trader Village.
Featuring a lightweight carbonfibre body over a strengthened original chassis, it’s a remarkable looking machine.
By all accounts it goes just as well, too. With 400bhp and just as much lb ft of torque, its Group A spec engine has the seal of approval from the great Juha Kankkunen. “[It’s] a Group A rally car disguised as a very handsome and exquisitely crafted road-going Delta,” reckons the four-time World Rally Champion.
And he would know: two of those titles were claimed in Deltas.
No stone has been left unturned by the Maturo engineers, as you’ll notice at the Scramble on Sunday 23 April.
