A new cafe has opened at Bicester Heritage as part of the recently renovated Building 144, sharing the courtyard with Hedley Studios.

Cafe 144, as it is known, is open to anyone on site from 10am until 3pm each day and based just off the Southern Avenue.

Situated in the shadow of the grand old Station Offices, Cafe 144 will also be open at selected events, including at the Scramble and Assemblies. It will be one of the places Pegasus members can claim their free coffee at each event, too.

You’ll find coffees, cakes and bakes and more.

Building 144 in period was the Works Services Building, built during the initial development phase of RAF Bicester in 1927. It housed offices and a fitters' shop and stores for the Clerk of Works, but at some point in the intervening years the building was almost destroyed by arson. As much of the original as possible was preserved during the careful restoration.

You'll be able to visit the cafe element to the building during the Oktoberfest Assembly on Sunday 29 September and during the sold-out Scramble on Sunday 6 October.
