Polestar presented its next chapter at the Scramble on Sunday 5 October, placing the forthcoming 5 in the spotlight as part of a striking pop up display in Building 90, The Main Stores.
The super GT was surrounded by one of each Polestar model, from 1-4, neatly marking five years in the UK for the brand and bringing a taste of the recent Polestar Festival to the Scramble.
The Polestar 5 was first revealed in the UK in Hangar 113 during the Festival, which took place in September.
Boasting up to 650kW, or 871bhp, the sleek aluminium GT hits 60mph from standing in just 3.1 seconds and has a claimed range of up to 416 miles. In dual motor specification rather than Performance, 550kW/748bhp will still get to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Its drag coefficient is just 0.24 – better even than a McLaren Speedtail.
The styling of the 5 is the realisation of the beautifully clean Precept, a concept car that has fed into every Polestar so far. It is most obvious in the four-plus-one seater 5, though, and the marque has labelled it ‘The purest of Polestars.’
The order book is open now, starting at £89,500. Deliveries are expected to begin in Spring 2026.
