The Peking to Paris 2025 is yet to begin, but leading endurance rally organiser HERO-ERA has officially launched the 2028 event at a packed event in the Command Works.
The cross-continental epic will take place from 4 June to 16 July 2028 and entries are already being accepted.
It will be the longest Peking to Paris yet, 2500km longer than the 2025 edition, and it returns the P2P to Mongolia. In all, the 42-day, 17,500km event will take in 12 countries for its 10th edition.
A new class will be inaugurated, honouring the original running and led by the sister car to the winning Itala of Prince Scipione Borghese. Entry into the rally is guaranteed for any ‘Tribute 1907’ class car, which welcomes any marque that started the 1907 Peking to Paris: Itala, Spyker, De Dion and Contal.
Ten classes comprise the entry, up a small five-car Modern Classics division for cars from 1976 to 1985 and there is a 10-vehicle class for 3 Wheels or Less. Entry priority is by age.
Being so gruelling a rally, experience in long-distance events is required. Find more information at hero-era.com.
