Polestar has officially opened the order book for its next offering, the 4, with deliveries expected to follow in the summer.
The 4 has been designed to fit between the 2 and recent 3 SUV in terms of size and price. According to the manufacturer, the 4 ‘transforms the aerodynamics of a coupé and the space of an SUV into a new breed of SUV coupé.’
“Polestar 4’s innovative interpretation of an SUV coupé offers great interior space and a stunning appearance,” added Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.
Polestar’s Bicester Heritage Space, which doubles as the marque’s UK headquarters, expects its showroom car to arrive in early May but cars can be specced and ordered now. The Space is open between 9am and 5pm from Wednesday to Sunday every week.
The 4 made headlines when the design was unveiled for its lack of rear window, which Polestar says allows for the glass roof to stretch the length of the car to create a ‘unique ambience’.
It is also the fastest Polestar to date, hitting 60mph from standing in just 3.8 seconds with 544bhp available in Long range Dual motor spec. The Single has an output of 272bhp, and an impressive claimed range of 379 miles.
On-the-road prices start at £59,990 for Single motor and £66,990 for Dual motor spec.
