The Bentley Continental GT that climbed the fearsome Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado in record time in 2019 will lap the Experience & Demonstration Track at Flywheel on 17-18 June as part of the Spirit of America category of display cars.
Wearing the number 100 in the marque’s centenary year, the GT knocked eight seconds off the previous record – set by a Bentayga the year before. Kiwi Rhys Millen drove both times.
The GT will return to Bicester Heritage just a few months after helping celebrate 20 years of the Continental GT at the Scramble in April, but at Flywheel it will showcase its ferocious ability.
The Continental climbed the 5000ft, 12-mile course in 10 minutes 18 seconds, averaging a stunning 70mph for the run past perilous cliff edges and vast rocky outcrops.
Bentley’s fabled ‘Birkin Blower’ will also be among the demonstration cars, as part of the Le Mans Centenary Celebration along with a Le Mans Collection GT. Each car will appear on track four times during the event, twice on Saturday and twice more on Sunday.
Book tickets now; adults passes are £27, with 5-14-year-olds £7.50 and under 5s admitted free.
