Visitors attending the Scramble at Bicester Motion on Sunday 4 October will benefit from a revised arrival process aimed at creating a smoother entry experience.
From the October event onwards, tickets will no longer be checked immediately at the entrance to the car park. Instead, spectators arriving prior to 9am will be directed straight into car parking. Attendees will then walk to the nearest entry gate to have their tickets scanned, with the event starting from 9am.
Ticket checkpoints will be positioned across the site. One will serve the new Scramblers+ priority parking area near Gate 3, while another will provide access to Pillbox, a new display area joining the event from October. A third checkpoint will be located close to the Watch Office, with a fourth pedestrian-only access point situated near Gate 8 on Skimmingdish Lane.
The updated approach will help improve traffic flow both within Bicester Motion and on surrounding roads. The changes are intended to minimise disruption to local residents while also responding to visitor feedback gathered following April's Scramble. The revised system also aligns with the requirements of Martyn's Law, supporting enhanced security measures for attendees at large-scale events.
Regular visitors may recognise the new format, because a similar arrival process was successfully used during Flywheel in summer 2023.

"Reducing congestion both on site and on the local roads is also important to us. We are committed to being a considerate neighbour while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of everyone attending the event.
"The changes have also given us the opportunity to expand the event footprint. Three new display areas will provide even more for visitors to discover, from a celebration of American cars on Goodwin's Green and a StarterMotor Ambassador-curated line-up on Hangar Green, to Pillbox, which will showcase the craftsmanship and creativity of signwriting."
