Fords from both sides of the Atlantic and from all eras took to Bicester Heritage en masse for the second Scramblers Assembly of 2023 on Sunday 26 February.
More than 150 Blue Ovals lined the picturesque avenues of the restored WW2 site, with modern performance hatches mixing with Model Ts, 1970s Capris and the odd hot rod.
A T laundry van from The T Service was the oldest car on show, more than a century older than some of the recent Mustangs elsewhere around the site, while a 1936 Coupe that has competed with Bicester Heritage resident HERO-ERA was also a highlight.
Not every car brought a Ford badge on its bonnet, either, with a beautiful Sunbeam Tiger celebrating the venerable V8 and an SSC Stylus arrived with V6 Duratec power among others.
Official Auction Partner Collecting Cars selected a Ford Mustang to be on its display, with a replica of a Björn Waldegård RS 2000 close by complete with period correct livery.
The Wriggly Monkey Brewery’s Model A truck made its presence felt in the Motor Transport Yard, too, watching guard over the Armstrong Siddeley fresh from the Pomeroy Trophy at Silverstone the day before.
March’s Scramblers Assembly, a cars and coffee morning at Bicester Heritage for members of the club, will take place on Sunday 26 March. Motorsport is the theme, with any car with track or rally links being invited to display. General parking is also available for those not matching the theme.
Tickets cost £5 per person, with free admission for under 15s, available in advance only via the Scramblers Shop: https://scramblers.bicesterheritage.co.uk/shop
Merlin and Pegasus members, Scramblers who have upgraded to receive a raft of additional benefits, receive a free pass to every monthly Assembly.
