Dan Geoghegan has paid tribute to Jennie Logan, one of the two firefighters killed while responding to the fire at Bicester Motion on Thursday 15 May and whose funeral took place today.
“Jennie is remembered by her loved ones, colleagues and the community as she always will: as a hero. Our hearts are with her family this weekend, and always,” he said on behalf of Bicester Motion.
“It was incredibly moving to witness the cortege pass through Bicester, a sight that none of the hundreds lining the streets will ever forget.
“It is another reminder of the sacrifices those on the frontline are willing to make to keep us safe, and we are in their debt.”
A fundraising page has been set up by Bicester Rugby Club in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity, for those who wish to contribute. Another has been created for the family of Dave Chester, a friend and colleague of Bicester Motion who died assisting the fire fighters.
