Brightwells is selling a van on Saturday 11 February that holds an important place at Bicester Heritage, and especially with StarterMotor.
And not just because the proceeds raised will go into the coffers of the charity that puts young people in old cars.
The big red Bedford J2 van played a not insignificant part in the Golden Ticket initiative at Scrambles, where StarterMotor Ambassadors scour the public queues and pick out cars they think should park on the Technical Site.
They’ve come across everything from Mercedes-Benz Gullwing to rugged Land Rover from their once Wonka-liveried base near the Watch Office. That sticker was not for show, either: this is one of Bedfords to star in the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
