Hangar 113 must be the place to photograph the cars of the year, because following Parkers’ shoot earlier this month Top Gear packed the former home of the Blenheim for its most important magazine of the year: the Awards issue.
The BMW iX3, which slipped into the Reboots & Restmods display at the Scramble in October alongside its Neue Klasse forebear, scooped the biggest award and can officially call itself the Top Gear Car of the Year 2026.
It is thoroughly modern, and thoroughly plush, with a mammoth range of up to 500 miles.
Scattered around it in Hangar 113 was everything from Hyundai Inster and Dacia's fascinating Hipster design study right the way up to Ford Mustang GTD and Ferrari F80.
Each was a winner, and features in the new issue that is available in stores now. A whistle-stop tour of the category victors can be found over on topgear.com, too.
Top Gear will return to the Scramble on Sunday 11 January.
