A definitive display of machines created by Tom Walkinshaw Racing will take over Hangar 113 at the opening sold-out Scramble of 2026, at Bicester Motion on Sunday 11 January.
The near-50 car gathering will mark 50 years since the Kidlington team was inaugurated in 1976, initially helping to run and refine a Renault 5 to race in the one-make series in the UK. From there TWR went on to win races all over the world, including most famously at Le Mans, and briefly onto the Formula 1 grid.
Four 24-hour race winners will be on display together in Hangar 113 as the centrepiece: the Mazda RX-7 and the Jaguar XJ-S that won at Spa in 1981 and 1984 respectively, plus Le Mans victors Jaguar XJR-9 and the XJ220 that was later disqualified.
Two early cars include the BMW 530i Walkinshaw took to victory in the British Saloon Car Championship and one of the cars from the BMW County Championship, a one-make series of BMWs prepared by TWR.
The timeline of cars will include the team’s Rover period, including the rally Vitesse and track equivalent, a number of Jaguars from Group C and IMSA sports car racing, plus examples of the iconic Volvo squad from the 1990s.
Among them will be the road cars that reflected the racing exploits, from the early Alpina conversions to the JaguarSport XJR-15 and Jaguar XJ220, along with the Renault Clio V6, Aston Martins, Jaguars, special and modified versions of the Range Rover, RX-7 and more.
Live stage interviews will bring the team to life, and more than a hundred former team members will be reunited in the company of the machinery they created.
Tickets to the Scramble sold out within a month of going on sale. Tickets to the second Scramble of 2026, which takes place on Sunday 26 April, will be available from Monday 5 January to Pegasus members and on general sale from 12 January.
