The Ford Transit created when the World Rally Championship team was a line-up of legends will be on display during the Motorsport Assembly at Bicester Heritage on Sunday 31 March, making the short hop from Daventry and the Heritage Collection’s new home.
It wears the same, now-classic livery of the Focus that was being driven by none other than Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz and the returning François Delcour, complete with Martini stripes and the same Telefonica Movistar logos plastered across it.
Gaming fans may also remember the epic Transit from that year’s Colin McRae Rally PlayStation game because it was featured in the available machinery.
The van was built to also mark the launch of the new Transit, and is similar to the line of Supervans created irregularly by Ford since the mid-1980s.
It is not to be missed. Book now via the shop – a Pegasus membership is required.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Transit will be replacing the previously announced RS200.
